  For the love of shoes! Heart & Sole, is a new project dedicated to uniting community and participants through the love and relief of shoes. Featuring interactive art series, "Shoe Portraits," by Sam Roloff. Proceeds will go to benefit non-profit organization, Soles4Souls,... as we help raise funds to distribute shoes to impoverished children and families around the world. Join Heart & Sole this holiday, in celebrating the beauty of shoes as well as the relief they can provide to those in need. Suggested $10 donation at the door. Ladies and Gents - put on your most loved/fashionable shoes and join us December 16th to view the complete series, “Shoe Portraits,” play in a photo booth just for shoes, listen to live music, enjoy hors d' oeuvres and spirits, while donating to support toward the efforts of Soles4Souls. An event for men and women, and your shoes- raffle and prizes to be announced including Best Shoes of the evening. Now until December 16th - submit photos of your favorite, most loved, and/or most fashionable shoes to have your image selected as one of the final 25 to be painted as part of Sam Roloff's new series. Bridgeport Village will host the annual Making Spirits Bright fundraising and shopping weekend to benefit Candlelighters for Children with Cancer and Project Pooch. Wristbands will be available for $10; 100% of the proceeds will benefit the participating charity of purchaser’s choice.

Last night as I lay awake I came to realize how distracted I have been trying to recruit Sponsorship for this Pageant.  When in fact it is not the reason I started this adventure.  My goal was to use this experience as a vessel to help...to give back...to stretch my heart as I have done in previous fashion fundraisers.  Pageantry is expensive and I have let the expenses block my vision of why I started this in the first place.  Moving forward I shall keep focused on my intentions...
